LOVELY
AND
GREEN

The landscape park on your doorstep

What a front yard! Spread over 68 hectares, Johannisthal Landscape Park lies right at the gates of the quarter. The inner area is protected and provides a home for rare wildlife. Around it runs a network of cycling and walking paths for sport and recreation.

SOMETHING
FOR
EVERYONE

For the active

In the Aktivband – the movement area that circles the park – there’s space for everything: cycling, skating, table tennis, a BMX course, or a spontaneous game of basketball or football. The football pitches belong to one of the 25 local clubs. For strength and conditioning, modern calisthenics equipment is available.

For nature lovers

One third of the area is under nature protection. Rare animal and plant species, such as sand lizards, skylarks, wild bees, and more than 240 different wild plants, thrive here. From time to time, flocks of sheep wander across the meadows, taking care of the grass while contributing to the ecological balance.
